02Contents

Inside the book

Ten chapters, from recognising the shadow to writing your own plan for the moment the pattern starts again.

01

Meeting Your Shadow

What the shadow is, where it comes from, and the four places it reliably shows up: triggers, judgment, avoidance, and sabotage.

02

Persona and the Parts You Hide

The face you present, the cost of maintaining it, and which qualities you traded away to keep it convincing.

03

Emotional Triggers

How to read a disproportionate reaction as information rather than as a personal failure.

04

Projection and Judgment

Why certain traits in other people create disproportionately strong reactions, and how to use those reactions as clues.

05

The Protective Purpose of the Shadow

When the pattern first became necessary, and what it was originally protecting you from.

06

Relationship Patterns

The sequence you repeat with partners, friends, and colleagues, and the point at which it always turns.

07

Self-Sabotage

Why things break at the moment they start working, and what the interruption is trying to prevent.

08

The Golden Shadow

The strengths you disowned along with the difficult parts, and how to reclaim them deliberately.

09

Integration Exercises

Structured exercises that turn recognition into a practical response you can use under pressure.

10

Your Personal Shadow Plan

A written plan assembled from your own answers: your patterns, your triggers, your early warning signs, and your chosen responses.

03Questions

Frequently asked questions

When will the book be out?

We are still writing it. Leave your email on this page and we will write to you the day it is ready, once.

Is this a physical or digital book?

Digital. You will read it in the Archemap online reader and can download a PDF and an EPUB.

Is the book suitable for beginners?

Yes. It assumes no prior reading in Jungian psychology and defines each term as it appears.

Do I need to take the Archemap test first?

No. The book stands alone. If you have taken it, your result tells you which chapters to prioritize.

Is this a replacement for therapy?

No. It is a self-reflection workbook. If you are in acute distress, work with a professional rather than with a book.
