Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Archemap collects, why we collect it, how we use it, and what your rights are. We keep data collection to a minimum.
Archemap does not sell your personal data and does not use it for advertising. We collect only what is necessary to deliver the service.
Who we are
Archemap (archemap.com) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. If you have questions about this policy or your data, you can reach us at support@archemap.com.
What we collect
We may collect: your answers to the test (used to generate your result – not linked to your identity unless you create an account); your email address if you sign up, purchase a report, or request delivery by email; payment metadata from Paddle (transaction reference, amount, currency – never card numbers); technical logs such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited; and limited analytics data.
We do not collect sensitive categories of personal data. The test responses describe psychological patterns, not medical information.
Why we collect it
We use your data to: generate and deliver your archetype result and full report; process and fulfil purchases; send transactional email (e.g., your report link or receipt); improve product quality and fix bugs; prevent fraud and abuse; and comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.
Legal basis (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction with similar laws, the legal bases we rely on are: performance of a contract (delivering results and reports you requested); legitimate interests (product improvement, security, fraud prevention); compliance with legal obligations; and, where specifically required, your consent.
You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting support@archemap.com.
Payments and Paddle
All payments are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles checkout, invoicing, tax compliance, and payment security. Archemap never receives or stores your payment card details.
Paddle's privacy policy governs the data they collect during payment. By purchasing, you also agree to Paddle's terms and privacy policy.
International transfers
Some sub-processors may process data outside the EEA or UK. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place – such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions recognised by the relevant authority.
Data retention
We retain test and account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter. Payment records are kept as required by tax and accounting law (typically 7 years). Technical logs are retained for up to 90 days.
You can request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@archemap.com.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request erasure of your data; restrict or object to certain processing; and receive a portable copy of your data.
To exercise any of these rights, contact support@archemap.com. If you are in the EU or UK and believe we have not handled your data lawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children's privacy
Archemap is not directed at persons under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact support@archemap.com and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or applicable law. Material changes will be indicated by an updated "last updated" date. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
