A shadow archetype is the hidden or distorted side of a core pattern. It often appears under stress, rejection, shame, fear, desire, pressure, or loss of control.
The shadow is not evil. It may contain rejected strength, anger, need, instinct, grief, creativity, hunger, or truth. But when unconscious, it can become destructive or self-sabotaging.
The shadow is not what makes you bad. It is what acts through you when you refuse to see it.
