What is a relationship compatibility test?
A relationship compatibility test compares how two people are motivated, not what they have in common. Archemap's version scores your archetype and the shadow pattern beneath it against your partner's, then shows where you balance each other and where the same difference turns into friction.

How the compatibility score is calculated
Most compatibility tests for couples compare traits: two calm people score well, two competitive people score badly. That reads neatly and explains very little, because the arguments couples actually have are rarely about traits. They are about two people wanting different things from the same moment.
So this test compares motivation instead. Each of you answers 42 scenarios, and those answers load onto twelve archetype scales — the pattern that decides what you reach for when something matters. The Sage reaches for understanding. The Ruler reaches for order. Neither is better, and in ordinary conditions they fit together well.
The second layer is the one other tests leave out. Every archetype has a shadow: the same drive, running under pressure, doing damage. Under stress the Sage stops deciding and calls it diligence. The Ruler tightens control and calls it responsibility. Put those two shadows in one room and you get a specific, predictable collision — clarity against control — and that is what the score describes.
A high percentage means fewer built-in collisions, not a better relationship. Some of the pairings that grow fastest score in the sixties, because both people can finally name what keeps happening. The number is a starting point for a conversation, not a verdict on it.
